A fantastic way to achieve a close to face mounted look with only a slight loss in detail. Image is infused directly on to a 1/8 sheet of high gloss aluminum creating a much increased luminescence.

Sublimation onto metal is a new way to produce an image. Sublimation is the process of going from a solid to a gas back to a solid skipping the liquid state.

The image is first printed on transfer paper. The transfer paper is adhered to a pretreated aluminum.

The aluminum & transfer paper are placed in a custom heat press which is heated to temperatures exceeding 380 degrees. While being subjecting to extreme heat, the dyes from the transfer paper turn into a gas and then solidify into the treated aluminum. The dyes cool and are permanently infused into substrate.

65+ years before fading, Scratch resistant, wipable, fire retardant and light weight. Aluminium backing is supplied to make a finished piece that floats off the wall.

Can also be framed or mounted to 1/4 inch sintra board to give a more substantial look.
