'Big City Lights' - New York - New York - USA
I often find a strange irony in photographing a city skyline from another state. The view of New York City from New Jersey is to me one of the most expansive so I purposely booked a hotel right at my chosen location to make sure I could get just the right shot. After 2 failed attempts due to high winds and rain I got lucky on the 3rd try with little to no wind, which is such an important factor when shooting at such a long focal length as the slightest gust can blur the image. There are 112 images that make up the final image and each location has to be shot when the camera is completely stable whilst also taking into consideration how long it will take before the light changes too much. It took it's time but the end result was well worth it
