'Secret Falls' - Portland - Oregon - USA
Lower Oneonta Falls is a waterfall located in the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area in Oregon, United States. It is a short hike from the Oneonta Gorge Trailhead and can be reached via a narrow slot canyon. The trail is rocky and can be slippery, but the reward is a beautiful, secluded waterfall and swimming hole. The waterfall cascades down a mossy rock face into a deep pool that is surrounded by lush greenery.
Overall, an extremely difficult place to get to which involves climbing a huge 50 ft log jam followed by wading chest high through freezing water. As of writing this, access to this waterfall is closed with no scheduled re-open date.
