Hamilton Pool is a natural swimming hole and preserve located in the Texas Hill Country, near Austin. The pool is a collapsed grotto, formed by the erosion of limestone rock and features a 50-foot waterfall that cascades into the pool. Hamilton Pool Preserve is owned by Travis County, Texas and it's managed by the Parks and Recreation Department.
Taken at Hamilton Pool, Austin Texas, this piece won first prize in a local photo competition and was featured in the Austin nature calendar the following year.
