'Motown' - Detroit - Michigan - USA
The Detroit skyline, as viewed from Windsor, Canada, offers a unique perspective of the city and its skyline along the Detroit River. From this vantage point, you can see the iconic skyscrapers, such as the Renaissance Center, the tallest building in Detroit and the fifth tallest in the United States. The GM Renaissance Center is a group of seven interconnected skyscrapers, which house offices, shops, and hotels, and serves as the world headquarters of General Motors. The view from Windsor also showcases other notable buildings such as the Penobscot Building and One Detroit Center, which are both architectural masterpieces. You can also see the towering steel arches of the Ambassador Bridge, connecting Windsor and Detroit, as well as the beautiful Windsor waterfront parks along the river. Overall, the view of the Detroit skyline from Windsor is a stunning display of the city's history, architecture, and beauty.
This was another one of those strange situations where you are taking a photograph of a city, not from another state, but from another country! Taking this photograph was a challenge to say the least as it was 19c (-10c) with a biting wind. The wind also made it a very slow process as I had to wait for the wind to die down at image location of the panorama. By the end of the shoot, I could barely feel my hands.
