A bed of bluebonnets with some Indian Blankets and Paintbrushes mixed in. This large format photograph features a shallow depth of field to add interest. It was taken around the outskirts of Austin having spent many days looking for a perfect bluebonnet field. Photographed as a multi image, multi exposure panorama using a gigapan gigapixel imaging system. Suitable for printing at extremely large sizes whilst still retaining enormous levels of detail. The Texas bluebonnet is the state flower of Texas and is featured on the state's quarter coin. It is a very popular subject for photographers and artists, and the sight of fields blanketed in bluebonnets is a beloved springtime tradition in Texas.
